David Fischer enters his tenth season with the Seahawk Beach Volleyball program and serves as Head Coach.

After finishing 3rd in the Sun Belt in 2024, UNCW proudly produced the Top Pair of the conference with Sadie Sharkey and Gabby LaPata at the 1s. Bri Haggerty and Gracie Sistrunk were named All Conference.

In 2022, UNCW finished tied for 3rd in the ASUN, and produced the conference Scholar-Athlete of the year in Ellie Bucci, as well as Freshman of the year Gabby LaPata. For 7 years, UNCW competed in the CCSA against the strongest universities east of California.

​As a beach volleyball player, Fischer competed on the AVP for 13 years, represented USA in the Pan Am Games, and has competed internationally in Europe, South America, Central America, and New Zealand. Fischer competed indoors for Stanford University, and has over 20 years of both indoor and beach volleyball coaching experience.
